Sharon sabourin

Ms. Sabourin came to Timmins as an articling student at the Crown Attorney’s Office in 2009 and subsequently worked as an associate at the Racicot Maisonneuve Labelle Gosselin LLP before setting her sights on opening her own practice in July of 2013.

Ms. Sabourin has focused her practice mostly on trial advocacy, in the areas of criminal and family litigation at the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal.

In previous employment, Ms. Sabourin was a senior Policy Advisor for the Ministry of Health Promotion in Toronto, Ontario. She worked with the Smoke-Free Ontario Strategy and managed the implementation of the Smoke-Free Ontario Act and Regulations throughout the 36 health units in the province.

Ms. Sabourin holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree, and a Masters Degree specializing in Health Promotion from the University of Western Ontario. She obtained her Juris Doctor in 2009 and was called to the bar in June 2010.

Having came to law as a second career, Ms. Sabourin has gained a broader understanding of common challenges that clients face when their lives intersect with legal issues. This has also allowed her to understand the real life skills needed to be a good lawyer such as listening, a sense compassion and practical solutions to legal problems. These skills, paired with her post-secondary education, make her an excellent advocate.
